I’m posting out of order today in honor of the #optoutside movement started by REI to encourage people to skip the evil that is Black Friday shopping and instead get outdoors. Luckily today in Wisconsin we had a mini heat wave and tied record highs around 65 degrees which made it an easy choice!
Before continuing, please observe yesterday’s pies that I proudly baked from scratch (minus the fresh pumpkin, c’mon I was on a time crunch). Some have agreed that I’m a master baker – or maybe I misheard them…
After waking up and rolling out of bed from a turkey coma, the nearest choice that also checks off another destination on my Wisconsin State Park exploration tour was Bigfoot Beach State Park. This is also the closest park to home which made for quick and easy access without planning. This park is very small with easy hiking and is suited more for a family with children or people wanting to run/cross-country ski in winter.
Not much to see as the leaves have all fallen, but still got in about ~2.5 miles of hiking and some fresh air (probably for the final time in 2017). Farewell autumn, hello winter.Lat = 42.5666428 , Long = -88.4341049 -- Show at Google Maps
