Grace Joyce Martin, 87, of Kenosha, died on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus.
Born in Kenosha on Sept. 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Bartelo and Domenica (Mabellini) Stefani. She attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford.
On June 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to Alvin L. Martin. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2001.
A member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Grace was a homemaker to her family of six children.
She enjoyed reading, knitting and traveling to Hawaii. Grace loved life, her grandchildren and was a lot of fun.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Theresa) Martin, Scott (Sue) Martin, Sandra (Brian) Prell, Terri Johnson, Jill (Bill) Schutzen and Lori Thompson; her siblings Mary Miller, Gloria (Tom) Hasenberg, Albert Stefani and Joseph Stefani along with nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by three grandsons, Jon Martin, Erik Johnson and Bryce Martin and her siblings, Chuck, Claudia and Zelma.
Funeral Services honoring Grace’s life will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2020 91st Street. Private Inurnment will take place in All Saints Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
