More waterfalls on the way home from Kohler-Andrae State Park. Located in Port Washintgon, WI you can find Sauk Creek Falls in the Sauk Creek Nature Preserve.
A short distance from the trail head you can cross a bridge with views up and down stream.
The northern bank is above the falls, and while viewing isn’t ideal there are several good hiking trails. Since it was late in the day I crossed back to the south banks. Trail here is narrow and overgrown. Wisconsin in June and foliage colors are neon green.
South bank opens up to great views below the falls. From other photos online, water today seems low but still flowing at a good pace. Would be even more dramatic early spring after heavy rains.
Short video that I shot freehand because I constantly forget my tripod. Video isn’t my main focus for this blog but I may try to improve production value this year.
