Big Eddy Falls

Plenty of falls & rapids to see along the Wolf River in Menominee County.  Next stop was Big Eddy Falls which is a short drive up WIS 55 through some amazing forests.

From what I can find this is the only public access – other surrounding lands are private or only accessible by members of the Menominee tribe.  Views of the falls here are nice but hard to capture on the camera.

Looking downstream from the falls is quite beautiful and more than makes up for not being able to see the majority of the falls themselves.

Here’s a short video of my visit to the falls.  I decided to take my bicycle versus just hiking in – mainly because I had it on the car so why not?  You can see the falls better thanks to the wide angle lens on the GoPro.  Enjoy!

Hiking Data

Overall this is a pretty short hike anyways but taking the bike made it super easy – highly recommend this method especially if there were recent rains so you don’t have to slog through the puddles!
