Left Benson in the early morning and started heading very far eastward. Crazy fog, clouds, wind, and some rain across I-10. Traffic on a tuesday morning is pretty light and the drive is pretty monotonous anyways so it didn’t matter.
Met my dad & his co-workers for lunch at Irma’s Restaurant in Deming, New Mexico. Last time I was here in 2018 I got the fried gorditas with chicken and I had to have them again. Not as good as last time but still delicious. Good enough I’ve never eaten anywhere else in Deming so there’s that. Yes, this entire blog post is about gorditas. Gorditas and putting a pin in my automagical hobo interactive map – click to see.
Dad had to go back to work so I continued my way east to Las Cruces. After lunch I had nothing but blue skies and beautiful weather. From now on I’m going to call these things Magic Gorditas because they seem to fix my weather curse (at least temporarily). Time to see some mountains and family next!

Actual visit date/time December 10, 2019 1:01pm. I’ll backdate it later so as to maintain chronological order. I’ve got an overwhelming backlog of photos to process which is probably why I procrastinate. Hope you enjoy them all the same.
