Still driving eastbound to my next campsite, I ended up in Shawano County and located Hayman Falls County Park. On arrival I didn’t know any better so I parked at the small pullout next to the entrance sign – if you visit here keep driving & park in the main gravel lot near the party shelters.
Regardless of where you park, there are several trails mowed through the grass and unmarked paths along the Embarrass River banks allowing you to view the numerous rapids and main falls.
These are the main falls. Water levels seem low compared to other photos I’ve seen online but still moving at a brisk pace.
Looking upstream above the falls is postcard material. Plenty of people here picnicking and enjoying the perfect weather. Next stop? Time to setup camp!

Unknowingly made this loop longer than I probably had to but the walk is very easy so I’m not sad about it. You could make a much quicker trip if you park in the main lot.
