Camped for the night at Sheps Canyon Recreation Area campground. Nothing too exciting, mainly just sharing here to put a pin on my geomap for tracking. Not a bad secluded place to camp but be prepared to spend some driving time.
I booked one of the lakeside sites but it was dark and hot that night and I couldn’t locate the outhouse. Zero other people here and was quite dusty from kicking up all the gravel to reach the location. Instead, I circled back to the RV “main” campground and also found zero people there so I took a calculated risk and just parked there. Flush toilets and showers (which I wish I could have used but skipped in favor of putting some miles down). Woke up to a 6-point buck near my campsite just grazing along which was neat. Ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, and zipped out of camp for more adventures.
