This part of the trip is the consequences of my seat-of-the-pants style travel. Time to pay the piper. In this area of the world there aren’t a ton of options for camping other than RV parks and I’m not keen on bailing out to a hotel every night when I basically have a tent on wheels. I did check out an RV park in Pine Bluffs but the scene wasn’t my type of crowd and right on the interstate. Tried a couple truck stops but also right on the highway and not very hospitable to regular cars (part of that is my fault for not having window coverings to block out lights). Anyways…I ended up in this little hotel parking lot in Cheyenne, Wyoming and was left well alone for some shuteye.
Not-so-secret mischief: If you act like you belong, this parking spot comes with a delicious hot breakfast. Not too shabby for camp cooking considering I don’t have to clean any cookware. Biscuits and gravy, mmm….
Mostly sharing this post just to put a pin in my geomap. Not very interesting I know, more to come in next post!
